One of the best parts of traveling is the food, no one can say otherwise. Every country has something special when it comes to food and it’s a great way to remember a country. I don’t know what it is about taste buds, but I could swear I remember all the special meals I have while traveling. And today, I would love to share with you, what in my opinion, are the best food from around the world.
Living in Montreal, a super diverse city, the food scene is insane, you can literally find anything you desire. Granted, sometimes it’s whitewash, but it will give you an avant-gout of what you can find later on!
I assembled this little list of the best food around the world I have either tried in the country it originated from, or in Montreal, in a small specialized restaurant. Trying to get as much authenticity I could before bringing my ass over there and trying the real deal!

One thing I really find amazing is how we are accustomed to what is known. Being from mixed backgrounds and living in Canada, I often had to explain how come I eat different kinds of foods or why my food smells the way it does. Back then, it would bother me so much but now… I can proudly say that my taste buds are used to different tastes, and my mind is open to new cultures!
