Is the PTR FirmX Peeling Gel worth it? Honest review!

Beautiful skin requires commitment, not a miracle. – Erno Laszlo

As you may have noticed, I love trying new products and finding the rare gems that would completely change your way of doing your skincare.

I have been using the PTR FirmX peeling gel from Peter Thomas Roth for about 2 months now and I can say with certainty this product is golden. I love it so much and here is why…

  • It’s very mild and perfect for sensitive skin.
  • Smells amazing.
  • Noticeable change after 1 use!
  • Small quantity goes a long way!

You apply a small quantity on your fingertips and massage it into your dry, clean face. The peel, in contact with the dead skin as well as the excess oils, will start to ball up. After a few minutes, you can rinse it off and apply the next step of your skincare routine. You can also leave it for a few extra minutes to let your skin absorb all the ingredients. I use it once or twice a week and it’s more than enough for me.

The first time I applied it, I freaked out because of the balling effect. There was no way that my skin was this dirty and after doing my research I found out it wasn’t all dead skin but more a mixture of the product, oils, and dead skin.

The cellulose present in the peel helps to hydrate and smooth the appearance of the skin, whereas the enzymes will exfoliate and remove the dead skin.

You can purchase this PTR FirmX Peeling Gel at Sephora.ca for 63$CAN or on the Peter-Thomas Roth website for the same price. It’s a bit pricey for an exfoliator in my opinion but the product should last you a long time and you can see the change in your skin so it’s still worth it.

Let me know what exfoliator you use so I can try it next!

Talk to you all very soon!
