Last weekend, some friends and I decided we should take a few days to unwind in the beautiful city of Quebec… And we sure did! Quebec definitely gives the little village vibe, and it should be on your list if you are visiting the province of Quebec. You have the perfect opportunity to do so next weekend thanks to labor day!
I wanted to share with you everything we did given we had such an amazing time!
Day 1 | Roaming in Old Quebec
For the first day, it would be nice to get acquainted with the location, walk around, stop for ice cream, shop in a small local store, try local food and just have an amazing time! Make sure you wear comfortable shoes because you will walk a lot! You should visit the Notre-Dame-des-Victoires church in the middle of the Place Royale. From there, you should stroll in the Quartier Petit Champlain, where you can take instagrammable pictures and get some delicious food. Right next to it, you can find the umbrella alley and get a coffee right underneath. Up to this point you were located in the Basse-Ville, and now you will make your way to the Haute-Ville. So from the Quartier Petit Champlain, you can find a few sets of stairs that will lead you to the Chateau Frontenac. Right in front of the castle, you can walk on the Dufferin Terrace which offers you an amazing view of the St-Lawrence river! You can also catch a show right in front of the castle depending on the day! If you have a bit more time, you can go on the plains of Abraham (a very important place in Quebec’s history)!

Day 2 | Hiking adventure and Waterfall experience
About an hour away from Old Quebec, you can go on a hiking trip in the Jacques–Cartier National Park. The view of the top was out of this world and it definitely worth the climb. It took us about 4 hours to complete the hike (Les Loups trail), including a little photoshoot at the top and a lunch break. Once that was done, you can go back home to shower and get ready for a walk to the Chaudière Falls Park and see a beautiful sunset behind the falls.

Day 3 | Whale watching
We left the best for the end! 3 hours away from Quebec, you can go whale watching in Charlevoix. This is definitely an amazing (unforgettable) experience and if you have the opportunity, you should definitely do it! Not only did we get to see the whales, but we learned so much thanks to the guide accompanying us!
I loved the whole experience and I feel very blessed to live very close to this town so I can discover even more in the future!
If you already went, let me know what you did there and what are your suggestions!
