If the path you walk down isn’t bringing you joy, then turn around. Find one that will.
When it comes to air travel, packing your carry-on bag with the right essentials can make all the difference in your travel experience whether it’s a national flight or an international flight. Whether you’re a seasoned traveler or new to flying, it’s essential to pack your carry-on bag with the items you’ll need during your flight and for the first few hours at your destination, or in my case, the whole trip! Having gone through the process of packing in the last few weeks, I am here to share some of my carry-on essentials to make your next flight as comfortable and stress-free as possible. So relax and take notes!
Carry-on

It goes without saying that having the right luggage is essential for any travel experience. This Beis carry-on will be your best friend on all your travels, whether you’re going to Marrakesh or The Rockies! It looks very stylish and has everything you need, such as 360-degree wheels, and a weight indicator, and it is expandable! This is the perfect bag to carry all your flight essentials.
A tech kit
I think we can all admit that we have so many technological items to bring with us wherever we go that we can easily forget some things. This tech kit is amazing for keeping track of everything and keeping it on hand. I love how small and light it is. Here are some of the things I bring in my tech kit:
- Chargers (computers, phones…)
- Portable power bank and charger
- Canceling headphones
- Plug adapter
- USB or USBC Key

Toiletry bag
I love to travel with a clean face without makeup (it’s just more comfortable), but most of the time, I arrive at my destination quite early and like to start my day right away. So, to save time later, I always bring my essentials with me, so I can prepare myself in advance. Here are the items I always bring with me:
- Toothbrush and toothpaste
- Tissue and hand sanitizer
- Wet wipes
- Cleanser
- Sunscreen
- Moisturizer
- Brow product
- Mascara
- Concealer
- Eyeshadow stick
- Bronzer
- Gloss and lip balm
For anything else, I usually put it in my checked luggage or only use my necessities for the whole trip.
Water bottle
Staying hydrated during your trip, especially on long flights with layovers, is crucial for your health and well-being. My latest travel essential is a collapsible water bottle. It’s lightweight, convenient, and space-saving, making it a must-have for any traveler. This water bottle has been a game-changer for me, as it comes in handy throughout the entire trip!
Travel document organizer
I like to have all my documents in the same spot and not be stressed about losing anything. This pouch allows you to put your passport, plane tickets, train tickets, travel credit cards, debit cards, travel insurance, IDs, pens, keys, money pocket, and coin pocket. So, you can travel with a clear mind knowing that you have everything handy. If you are paranoid like me, take a picture of everything so you also have a digital copy of all your documents and cards.
Neck pillow
Save yourself from stiff neck and neck damage. I fought against it for such a long time because it’s not aesthetically pleasing, but you know what? This Amazon travel pillow is a game-changer! It can be folded and put away when not needed, but if you’re like me and sleep through your whole plane ride, this is a necessity.
Snacks
I hate airport and airplane food, so to fix that issue, I bring my own snacks as much as possible. Snacks can include protein bars, fruits, and salads; that way, if I don’t like the meals they offer or they have no vegetarian options, I can munch on my snacks. During longer layovers, it allows me to snack without spending a lot of money.
These are my travel must-haves no matter where I travel to. But I will add to the list depending on the season I travel in or the place I’m going to.
Until next time,
Sofyah,
Given how easy it can be to lose or misplace charging cables and other small electrical items, having a small case to put them all in makes sense
